We’ve revived the content from way back when so that you can browse through images and read the exclusive interview from 2002. Every week we’ll be adding more images from the original website gallery – exclusives from tours, pics from magazines like Smash Hits and TV Hits – and content from the old site. This site was launched in 1998 as Step Into Claire Heaven, creating an online space for Claire fans and STEPS fans to come, talk and find out all the latest news and gossip. It was purple and yellow and, like most sites on the interweb back then, very basic! It was launched so early on, that Claire has a pretty unique claim to fame – this site was one of the first 0.15% of websites on the internet! Put another way, she was online before Napster and Wikipedia!
In 2002 we had a domain name and a name name change and became Clairerichards.net and lived on for another 5 years, hopefully waiting for a solo Claire…
If you don’t know who Claire is, and have been living under a rock for the past 20 years, she’s one fifth of British pop band STEPS; she’s a TV presenter; she’s a wife and a mother; and she hails from Hillingdon in London.
We had a lot of different designs in the 9 or so years that we were around, but only one purpose – collating all the best of Claire updates, news and pics into one place. We’ve included a couple of screengrabs / design imagery from the original site… You’ll have to forgive a few spelling errors along the way, we blame the hubris of youth.
Now that Claire is back with a solo album, My Wildest Dreams, due to be released November 2nd, and a tour coming in December 2018, we’ve brought the site back – giving you all the best of Claire, all in one place!
